Our 6th event will feature the world Internet trends. When we look around web services outside Japan, how do you feel? Are Japanese services are superior? Cheers to Silicon Valley?
We have a language barrier in Japan, it’s hard to understand how the things are going on outside the country. But Facebook has 140 million users in Asia. In Indonesia, there are 35 million Facebook users, which is ranked in the 2nd place around the globe. Weibo, a Twitter clone in Mainland China, has engaged over 100 million users.
When I visited Hong Kong for covering tech start-up scenes, the people I talked with were mostly Facebook users (3.5 million monthly active users among the region’s population of 7 million). Then I just became a heavy user of it. It allows me to get replies from anyone faster than Gmail.
This edition will invite the geeks who know such web service trends outside the country. Moderated by Mrs. Takako Kansai. Panelists are as follows. We look forward to your attending.
# For those who are interested in demo-ing your new service (lightning talk), please contact us. Each presentation must be completed in about five minutes.
All segments of the lightening talk are now occupied. Thanks for your interest.
